<p><a href="http://freeconfidence.com/free-confidence-building-course"><img class="alignright" title="Lack of Confidence" src="https://encrypted-tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS4LH8h1EgQ4-PQuZXn_ivy7RKS4Ey2BRP_aur4RC0R6Qz-ZWThJg" alt="Lack of Confidence" width="276" height="183" /></a>Are you <strong>lacking confidence</strong>?  Do you feel like you can&#8217;t do anything right, or that every thing you touch falls apart these days?  Are you hesitant to try new things because you are worried that you won&#8217;t be good at them?  Many times we tend to look at our recent failures and extrapolate into the future.  We call it a &#8220;slump&#8221; or just don&#8217;t feel good about our work or family life.  The funny thing about this is the world <strong>hasn&#8217;t changed</strong>!!  Nothing is different, except the way we have now labeled it and judge it.  Be very careful on labeling a &#8220;<strong>bad day</strong>&#8221; vs. &#8220;<strong>good day</strong>&#8220;.  The only thing we know for sure is that we had another day of life.  Another day of life sure beats the alternative!  Sometimes all it takes is a little gratitude and appreciation for simply being alive to change your perspective and<strong> restore your self confidence</strong>, but sometimes it takes a little more.   So, how can we get out of the &#8220;slump&#8221;?</p>
<ol>
<li>Realize that <strong>confidence is a state of mind</strong> and you can choose to<strong> feel confident</strong>.  Once you make up your mind to get out of your slump you have taken the first step.</li>
<li><strong>Focus on recent wins</strong>, and things you did to <strong><a title="Free Confidence Building Course" href="http://freeconfidence.com/free-confidence-building-course" target="_blank">boost confidence</a></strong>.  Remind yourself that you have had success in the past and focus on what you did that worked, not the mistakes you made.</li>
<li><strong>Be silly</strong>, walk into a room with a huge smile on your face, talk someone&#8217;s ear off.  Life is supposed to be fun, so don&#8217;t take things too seriously.</li>
